Battles Home Improvement traces its roots back to the early 1950s when Marlon Battles embarked on a visionary endeavor. Teaming up with local business leaders, he set out to establish an airforce base in Abilene, which would later evolve into the renowned Dyess Air Force Base, known today. As this base flourished, Mr. Battles played a pivotal role in supplying it with essential building materials, including siding and windows. By 1972, the culmination of his dedication led to the acquisition of a property at 1401 S. 14th Street, where he established a distribution center specializing in siding and windows.

In 2002, a new chapter unfolded when Leck and Tip Matthews took the helm of Battles Home Improvement. Since then, we have proudly served the Big Country community, offering a wide range of services, including replacement windows and doors, siding installation, sunroom construction, awnings, patio covers, window shades, and expertly executed specialty remodeling projects, such as Kitchen and Baths.

Our journey is deeply rooted in family values, and we take immense pride in that. We are delighted to introduce our son, Kelton, who, after graduating from Texas Tech, returned to Abilene to assume the role of General Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations. Our connection to Abilene and the Big Country runs deep, and we are dedicated to giving back. Over the years, we've actively participated in our community, serving on several non-profit boards. Kelton is currently contributing his expertise to the Chamber of Commerce, eagerly contributing to Abilene's continued growth.
